Test Tank

Purpose built to test oil spill response equipment and provide training on equipment use. The Alaska Response Corporation test tank is a covered 15,000-gallon tank measuring 25’ x 25’ x 4’, with its own oil distribution and measuring system.

Purpose built to test oil spill response equipment and provide training on equipment use, the Alaska Response Corporation Test Tank is a covered 15,000-gallon tank measuring 25’ x 25 ’x 4’ with its own oil distribution and measurement system.

The tank was designed to facilitate the ASTM F2709-19 standard test method for determining a measured nameplate recovery rate of oil skimmer systems. A mixed water combination is used to mimic the Cook Inlet environment.
